I haven't seen a Prophet today, but judging from the owls that have been piled on the kitchen table I'm going to assume that the Harpies announced that I haven't renewed my contract. I'm not going to sign with another team, I've just decided to stop playing. There are other things I want to do with my life, and the timing just seemed right to take my leave now and begin working towards my other goals.
I might decide to go back to quidditch in a year or two, I'm not sure that I'm finished forever. But even if I am, I love the sport and I'll continue to be a very active fan.
As a sidenote, I have to give a big shoutout to the Harpies and the fans for being some of the most amazing people in the world. Last night was an amazing celebration, and just one of many I've spent with all of you. And, of course, my family and friends for being the most supportive lot I could have asked for. Harry, too, because he's had many a night in our relationship where he has had to come second to my job and he's never complained and has always encouraged me to do something I love.
There is simply no way I could have had such a great career without all of you, so thanks for that. It really means a lot.
See you lot around.

For whatever reason, I seem to be stuck on the past today. I keep thinking about what my life was like a year ago, I would have never expected some of the changes that have happened this year - and that doesn't include the things that are in the works.
(Private to friends and family) I'm going to go ahead and invite you all to Godric's Hollow next weekend. I've got a big announcement to make, and you can all see the progress that has been made on our house.
And, no I'm not pregnant. Mum already asked when I flooed her this morning. I think she's upset that I'm not.

Harry, thank you for throwing one of the best birthday parties I've ever had. I had a fantastic time, even if it was rough getting up the following day for practice. Gwenog was minorly sympathetic because she had been there as well, but not so much that she didn't make me do a few barrel rolls midway through practice.
The season's nearly over though, which always makes me anxious. You never really know what's going to happen with the off-season.
(Hexed to Harry) What would you say if I didn't want to sign another contract with the Harpies?

Never in my life have I been so happy to see a clean flat. We've been living with a pile of boxes and unopened wedding presents since we got back from Fiji, and after I knocked a stack of the over this morning while trying to get breakfast I decided I should organise everything.
The good news is that I got it all finished while I was listening to the games on the wireless. The bad news is, Harry lost possession of the closet.
Mid-Season break is here. Gotta wonder who is going to be traded during the week. It's almost as good as when team rosters are announced each season. Drama, drama everywhere!

(Private to the Harpies, Harry Potter) SERIOUSLY? It's the MIDDLE OF THE SEASON!!!! What in the bloody hell is happening? I know it's been rough this year but...well, FUCK.
I'll be back Wednesday. And if none of you are as angry as I am then....well, just let me be angry.
(Private to Harry) And, for the millionth time, I am so so so so sorry about this. I will make it up to you.

In case anyone happened to be curious, being married is excellent. Everyone should try it out!
Something else that is excellent? The beach I'm staring at right now. It's 100% private, the only people around are the maid and the delivery guy who come once a week to clean/bring us supplies.
I'm thinking we might just stay here forever. You lot can come visit on holidays.

I'm getting married in four days!!!! And I'm so excited that it's probably bordering on pathetic, but you know, I'm only gonna get married once so I figured I better enjoy it.
My mum has been really great about helping with the entire thing, especially since quidditch training and games haven't given me a ton of time to really sit and plan things. She still doesn't approve of having a pick-up game during the reception, but Harry told her he really wanted one and she gave in. Wouldn't give in to me, mind, but she stopped fighting us the second he brought it up.
So, in case you all missed it on the invitation - bring your brooms and a change of clothes if you don't want to play in the ones you have on. If you don't want to play, that's fine too! There will be other things to do besides quidditch!

My tattoo count has now grown to a respectable, and uneven, three! Our next Weasley family dinner should be quiet the event when my mum finds out about it, not to mention that I've got an idea for a fourth already running around in my brain.
With the exception of a few things my flat is completely packed up and everything is just waiting to be moved. I've basically been living off of take away and my mum's pity because I wasn't very strategic in packing. Pots and pans aren't very useful if they are stored in boxes, but I wasn't willing to unpack them just for dinner. We'll just call it a self-imposed pre-wedding fast or something.
And speaking of the wedding, thank Merlin for my mum. She's been so helpful in trying to finish all the small details. I underestimated the amount of planning that even the most basic ceremony would take, and she's definitely talked me off a few ledges. Harry's been wonderful too, but that isn't so different from the usual - it's quidditch season, he's marrying a quidditch player. Lots of stress comes with the territory.
